7-9 loss to Germany.
Hey fans,
Had an incredible match vs Germany this evening. We fell behind 2-5 but fired back with 3 racks to make it 5-5. We messed up a safety in the next and another miss in the next. On top of that we also lost the next game so down 5-8! We ran out the next and I jumped in another long shot for 7-8! The next game was crazy!
Nick broke, made a ball and we were hooked on the 1. No other push then for another jump. I got it back, hit it and fluked it into the side. Nick played safe on the 2, Thorsten played safe, I made it long rail first and Nick followed it up with a good safe. Ralf kicked one rail at the 3 and made it in the side! Then Thorsten went for the 4ball, but overcut it and almost scratched in the corner 2 rails, but hung it in the hole! The crowd went nuts, around 1000 people there!!
I had no more time to think and had to shoot the long 4ball hard, missed it and they ran out until the 7ball!! Ralf overran his mark and Thorsten had to play it safe. Nick got a very tough bank and left it hanging over the side, which meant showertime for us. Great battle but didn't win it.
Back home on Monday and on to Portugal on Wednesday!
