Day 1 EC.
Hola,
Started the European Championships yesterday with the straightpool event. 3 centercourt tables with the nice powder blue cloth and all the other tables have a dark green cloth?? Very hard to see some balls with the weak lighting... strange choice if ya ask me.. Also we're playing in a sportshall and the heaters on the wall aren't working yet so it was freezing in there yesterday. Everybody was wearing jackets and vests to stay warm.
Had to play Drago in my first match on the Bet and Win table. We were waiting for 2,5 hours cause the table was running behind. On a score of 57-8 I left a breakshot for myself and Tony picked it up by accident! He conceeded the match right away! First there was a discussion with the referees cause he wasn't allowed to do that on Bet and Win, but as the refs found out, it wasn't even on Bet and Win. There was no bookie for it. So match conceeded and I also won my next match over a Norwegian player.
Played terrible but still felt tired from the 12 hour trip the day before. Gonna hit the gym now and blow off some steam. Play at 17:00
